Apollo’s Next Big Move: IDL Explosives Opens Bolkunda Silo Unit

IDL Explosives, a group company of Apollo Micro Systems, has officially commissioned its new bulk explosives silo plant near Asansol, West Bengal. Spanning 8.4 acres, the newly inaugurated Bolkunda Silo Unit was unveiled by Baddam Karunakar Reddy, Founder and Managing Director of Apollo Micro Systems, together with senior leadership from IDL Explosives.

Situated strategically within the Eastern and Central Coal Belt, the facility is equipped to deliver site-mixed bulk explosives directly to major mining operations, including Eastern Coalfields and Central Coalfields. This commissioning strengthens the Apollo Group’s energetics business by accelerating fulfillment times and deepening customer relationships across the region.
